We are going to Disneyland for one day. Once we park and go into Disneyland can we return to the car for a nap and reenter Disneyland?

Hello there Richard! I see you’re planning a fun filled day at Disneyland Park!

Once you scan your ticket into Disneyland Park, you are able to leave and come back inside the park if you choose to do so, just make sure you hold onto your ticket for re-entry. If you’ll be visiting during the last two weeks of the year, Disneyland Park may hit capacity at certain times of the day, so keep that in mind. I would not recommend taking a nap in your car. I don't think you would get much of a nap in a parking structure with how loud they are. Cars are constantly coming in and out, zooming, honking, wheels screeching etc. Also, Anaheim can get very hot or very cold at all times of the year and I would not want for it to spoil your trip.

When I’m at Disneyland Park, you’ll catch me there from rope drop until closing on most days! There is so much to do and if I was visiting for just one day, I would want to make the most of it. If you just wanted to rest your feet I would recommend something where you can sit down like Mickey and the Magical Map, Storytelling at Royal Theatre, “it’s a small world”, The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln and my favorite way to take a break, the Disneyland Railroad. The Disneyland Railroad will take you aboard a scenic journey around Disneyland Park in a real steam-powered train! All of these are a great way to get off your feet and get a bit of rest.

I will say there are days when either myself, my wife or the kids need a power nap to get us through the day! I might recommend booking a one night stay at either one of the three wonderful hotels at the Disneyland Resort or one of the Good Neighbor Hotels.  This would allow you to rest or nap at your leisure without worry.

Richard, I hope your day at Disneyland Park fills you with fun and the most magical memories!

Remember, always believe in the magic!
