Hi, we'll be in Disneyland for one day and then California Adventure for a day with two older teens. What would be a good day plan for both parks? Thank you

Hello, Marina, and welcome to planDisney!

It sounds like you have a magical vacation right around the corner. I bet everyone who is going is so excited about this trip!

When it comes to planning what to do and see in the parks, you’ve come to the right spot! We all have our favorites and “must-dos” to share with you. For example, when my family visits we have an age range of 3-years old to 20-years old (not including the parents). So although we don’t have teens anymore, we do have young adults! Our tradition has always been to start in Fantasyland and work our way through the rest of the park. On days we start at Disney’s California Adventure, you can find our rope dropping our way to Cars Land.

Of course, every family is different. What I suggest you do this week, is have everyone make their list of “must-dos”. Maybe suggest that everyone picks their top 3 rides in each park and 2 meal/snack options. Then you could combine the lists and use that as a guide to your day. It’s an easy way to start with doing what your family wants to do. Plus, it allows everyone to be included in the planning.

Marina, no matter what you do or where you choose to start your day, your trip will be filled with plenty of memories and fun. I hope this helps kick-start your trip and please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help!

Enjoy an Adorable Snowman Frosted Treat for me!

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
