Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page on the Disneyland website for current special ticket offers, as well as hotel deals. That's my go-to spot as I'm planning any visit to Disneyland, but especially for a special occasion!
Once in the parks, I would check out the
70th Celebration merchandise (of which there is plenty!) and plan to purchase 70th gear! This will make for perfect photo opportunities, especially if you take advantage of the
Disney PhotoPass digital downloads! Capture picture-perfect memories from friendly Disney PhotoPass Photographers at locations all around both parks. Let them know you're celebrating, and your photographer may be able to add a little extra Magic to your shot. Our family is so thankful to have these!
There are also several large 70th Celebrate Happy medallions spread throughout both parks and Downtown Disney District which feature various beloved Disney characters and make for more picture-perfect 70th birthday photo opportunities!
My next tip, since you're celebrating, Donald, is to make sure you grab yourself complimentary celebratory buttons - and wear them proudly! They can be found at City Hall on Main Street in Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street in California Adventure. You may also ask a Cast Member in any of the shops, too, and they'll usually be able to point you in the right direction to find yourself a celebratory button. Get ready for lots of "Happy 70th birthdays!"
Another way to sprinkle a little pixie-dust into your visit is by pre-ordering a
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake for delivery to select table-service restaurants at Disneyland Park, California Adventure or a Disneyland Resort Hotel. I recommend adding this special surprise to your dining reservation at the time of booking so you can blow out the candles - Disney style!
