Welcome to planDisney! As a frequent traveler to Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, I love that both resorts offer unique experiences for Guests! My family also likes comparing attraction differences in each destination, such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Walt Disney World offers
Disney Dining Plans that provide Guests with a specific number of meals and snacks based on the number of nights of their Disney Resort stay. Disneyland does not provide a dining plan at this time. However, if you are interested in a dining package that is paired with one of Disneyland's entertainment options, I have good news for you! The answer is yes! Maximizing my time and fun on Disneyland vacations is my top priority, which is why I love purchasing different dining packages when I am there!
One of my favorite Nighttime Spectaculars, World of Color - One, offers a variety of
dining package options. Restaurant locations currently include a dinner buffet at Storytellers Cafe, lunch or dinner at Wine Country Trattoria, and lunch or dinner at the Magic Key terrace (limited to Magic Key holders and their Guests). My kids love pasta and always choose Wine Country Trattoria, while my preferred choice is the buffet at Storytellers Cafe. Each package includes one voucher for the World of Color Preferred Viewing Area, which is a standing viewing area at Paradise Gardens Park in Disney California Adventure Park.
My most favorite option is the
World of Color Dessert Party! As part of the package, Guests are served a selection of desserts, cheeses, and beverages. Most importantly, you can sit at tables with real chairs! Guests are assigned to a low-top table with folding chairs or a high-top table with director chairs. Relaxing in chairs while watching World of Color - ONE at the end of a fun day at Disneyland is practically priceless!
Over in Disneyland Park, Plaza Inn offers a
"Magic Happens" Parade Dining Package. This dining package includes meals and a voucher for reserved viewing access to the second “Magic Happens” Parade performance. The "Magic Happens" Parade celebrates magical moments from legendary Disney stories, and it is such an incredible, inspiring parade.
Blue Bayou Restaurant and River Belle Terrace usually have
Fantasmic! Dining Packages. However, Fantasmic! is not returning until May 24, 2024, so you will probably miss it during this trip.
Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance. Dining packages have limited availability, and I recommend trying to make your reservations as soon as they become available. In my experience, dining packages sometimes take a little longer to be released. If it is 60 days from your preferred date and nothing is available, I suggest visiting the website a few times each day to make sure you do not miss any openings.
