Greetings, Lexi, and welcome to planDisney. Golly, I can't think of a happier place to ring in the New Year than the Disneyland Resort!
While I certainly appreciate planning ahead, it's a little too early to know exactly what New Year's Eve will look like at the Disneyland Resort. Information has not yet been shared about special experiences and entertainment offerings, park hours, or dining options. However, I have three ways for you to stay in the know.
First, check the
Disneyland website, the
official Disneyland Instagram account, or the
Disney Parks Blog for any official announcements about park happenings. Keep checking these sources in the coming weeks to see if anything specific to New Year's Eve is shared.
You'll also want to refer to the
Hours & Events Calendar, which details entertainment schedules, park hours, and more. It's updated on a rolling basis as far as six weeks out, so check it near the end of November to see if details for December 31 are available.
Information on
dining packages may be available a little sooner. Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance, but are sometimes released a little later. I recommend you check for dining reservations on November 1 (and the following days if needed) to see if there's anything you'd like to book.
Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace may be an option – you'll be treated to a delicious meal and have access to the balcony to watch fireworks. Just keep in mind that projections are not viewable from here.
Lexi, as we await more information, I do know that, in previous years, the Disneyland Resort was extra festive on New Year's Eve. Both Disneyland and California Adventure stayed open later than usual, and Guests enjoyed fun photo opportunities. There have been hat giveaways, lively music areas, and even two fireworks shows!
As such, New Year's Eve is a popular night to be at the Disneyland Resort. You'll want to go with a plan for your top priorities. Unless you have reserved viewing from one of the dining packages, I'd suggest watching the fireworks from one of the alternate viewing locations, such as "it's a small world" or the Rivers of America. It can become quite busy in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle and on Main Street, U.S.A.
You can expect to be dazzled by incredible seasonal decorations, too, since the
holidays at the Disneyland Resort will last through January 7, 2026. The castle and the tree both come to life each evening – it's one of my favorite sights in all of Disneyland. There should also be some delicious holiday foods and drinks to choose from.
Lexi, in the coming weeks, we should know a little more about how the Disneyland Resort will ring in the new year. I hope that you have the most memorable visit! If you think of any other questions ahead of your trip, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
