Hey there, Debbie. Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for stopping by to share this great question with us. I'm so excited about your visit to the Disneyland Resort. It won't be long until you will leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy.
The
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will officially start on November 10th. This is the first day that you will be able to see the resort in its full and complete festive and merry glory. While the resort will not have completed decking its halls during your visit, I imagine you will be able to see some holiday decorations as they start to go up in preparation for the official beginning of the holiday season. Speaking of which, you can head on over to
Haunted Mansion Holiday to see how Jack Skellington and friends have properly wrecked the halls.
Although the holiday decorating won't be completed for your visit, there are so many new and exciting things to experience at the theme parks. I particularly recommend checking out the newly reimagined
San Fransokyo Square in Disney California Adventure Park. I spent quite a bit of time here during my last couple of visits and I still haven't checked everything off my must-eat list. Next up on my list is the Japanese-style Fluffy Cheesecake from Aunt Cass Café. While you are in the neighborhood, be sure to stop by the Hamada Bot Shop to get a squishy hug or fist bump from Baymax. This was definitely the highlight of my visit.
While we're on the topic of food, I recommend trying some of the delicious fare at the newly opened Tiana's Palace in New Orleans Square. Quick tip, you can skip the line and
mobile order your food and beverage here in the
Disneyland app. Also, if you plan to mobile order here for lunch, I recommend placing your order early in the morning as return pick-up times tend to fill up very quickly.
While this might not be the answer you were hoping for, I hope I was able to give you some ideas for your upcoming visit, Debbie. No matter what, I know you will have a magical time. Please come back to ask us anything else that you might be curious about. Here's wishing you a fabulous time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
