Does Disneyland (not Disney World) have a Tatooine Trader's or similar where lightsabers for children can be built as opposed to the lightsabers at Savi's Workshop?

Hi Richard! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

I have good news for you! There is an alternative to Savi's Workshop's customized lightsaber-building experience in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland Park, and you don't even need a theme park admission ticket to create your custom energy blade.

Star Wars Trading Post is located in Downtown Disney District: That's where you'll find a lightsaber-building station and lots of authentic Star Wars merchandise. The station includes multiple bins full of lightsaber pieces and a step-by-step guide to choose an emitter, choose your blade, customize the hilt, and choose an endcap or adapter. This is a do-it-yourself station and offers good value for Guests looking to build a lightsaber without a reservation at Savi's Workshop. Since our Padawans are still fairly young and can't always be counted on to be careful with their treasures, this is the option we've decided to go with as well. Savi's Workshop will be a special extra we plan for in the future subject to availability.

While you're in Downtown Disney District, try Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen for a tasty lunch or dinner, featuring flavors from Louisiana. It tops our list of favorite dining spots in Downtown Disney District. I never pass up a Mint Julep and we always save room for the Double Chocolate Bread Pudding. You can check out the menu in the Disneyland mobile app.

May the Force be with you.
