Hello, Kristina! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question.
It’s so wonderful that you are taking your niece to the Disneyland Resort for the first time! I can’t wait for you to experience all the joy and magic through her eyes. Be sure to stop by City Hall in Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park for a complimentary 1st Visit button.
If your niece enjoys princesses, then consider booking a magical makeover at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. There are many packages to choose from that include hair styling, makeup, and some even include a princess gown. Reservations are a must and can be made by calling (714) 781-7895.
Another super fun experience for a preschooler is a
character meal. There are three character breakfasts around the Resort and one character dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel. Each meal offers an expansive buffet and a few characters will greet you at your table while you dine. Be sure to make your dining reservation in advance online or by calling (714) 781-3463.
When it comes to
attractions that may be a bit on the scary side, it really depends on each individual child. Haunted Mansion Holiday can definitely be spooky as well as some of the dark rides like Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride or Snow White’s Scary Adventures. I suggest watching attraction ride-through videos online to see if you should avoid them on your visit, but for the most part, the majority of attractions are suitable for children.
I hope this helps. Have a delightful time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
