I have been to Disneyland about a million times but we are planning out first ever Disney World trip- what are your best tips?

    Hello Kendel!

Thanks for bringing your question directly to me. It is an honor to answer for you!

My first tip: Walt Disney World Resort is WAY bigger than the Disneyland Resort. On our recent visit to Disneyland Resort, we loved the convenience of having everything within walking distance. There are very few parks or resorts that are within walking distance at Walt Disney World. In fact, you must use a form of transportation other than your feet for most of your adventures. So, my first tip is to stay on-site.  This way you can leave the driving to the bus drivers and monorail and boat captains. When staying on-site, you can also take advantage of Disney's Magical Express service from the Orlando International Airport to your hotel.

The second tip: Dining is a big deal at Walt Disney World.  While there are some excellent dining locations at Disneyland (Napa Rose for example), there are MANY outstanding restaurants when visiting "The World."  My tip of this is to make sure you include at least one (or two, or three!)  Character Dining experience. You will not only have a great meal, but you will also save time by not needing to wait in line to meet characters in the park. Our personal favorite is The Crystal Palace located in the Magic Kingdom

The third tip: Choosing your FastPass+ Selections is essential. We loved the MaxPass system at Disneyland, but the FastPass+ system is very different.  Do some research on which attractions you should select and how to best manage your FastPasses. This will require you to download and use the fantastic My Disney Experience app.

I have many more tips, but space is an issue, so ask all the questions you want; we love to help!

    See ya real soon,
