Hi David,
Thanks for visiting planDisney! I hope you’re looking forward to a magical time in the parks. The answer to your question depends on the type of ticket you purchased.
If your group purchased
standard park tickets from your local military base ticket office, you will not need to show a military ID when you enter the parks. However, if your group purchased the
Disney Military Promotional Ticket, the military ID holder will need to be with you, as stated. Part of the promotion also mentions that the Eligible Service Member (or their spouse) must have purchased the promotional tickets for themselves as well (unless they are a Magic Key Holder). If the military ID holder is entering the parks with you, they will most likely need to show the Cast Member that they have purchased the same ticket, and then they will be able to scan you into the park. Be sure they are prepared to show their promotional ticket too, to avoid any delays at entry.
If you haven’t been to the parks in a couple of years, I want to remind you to
make your park reservations ahead of time. You can
link your tickets to your MyDisney profile and select the day you plan to visit the parks. You can make park reservations up to six months in advance for both One Park and Park Hopper tickets. Reservations for popular times of the year can fill up quickly, so be sure to make your reservations as soon as possible. This year, Disneyland is celebrating its
70th Anniversary, so there’s a lot coming to the parks later this year. Be sure to check out the
2025 calendar to see all the special events coming to the Disneyland Resort Parks throughout the year.
I hope this information is helpful, David. If you have any other questions or need help planning, feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’d be happy to share our thoughts.
Hope you have a magical trip!
