Is the Disneyland Mickey's Halloween party too scary for my 2 1/2 year old? Is he too young to enjoy it?

    Hi Anahita!

Halloween is a special holiday for all ages of children but there are definitely degrees which you want to introduce them to when it comes to Halloween entertainment.

You know your own child better then anyone else. Some young toddlers will love the loud noises and dark attractions. Others will not and be upset the entire time. Some children of that age will not even like meeting and greeting Disney characters as they seem way larger then life to them and don't have the normal human face they are used to.

The Mickey's Halloween Party is a great time in the parks for all ages. The little ones especially like the trick or treating stations set up around the Disneyland park and of course the fun decorations that transform this area into Halloween fun. There are still plenty of attractions that are open for the little ones so no worries there. There are villain characters for meet and greet and if they are too "scary" then find the regular Disney characters who will simply be dressed in their Halloween costumes for the night's festivities.

The parade is festive and fun and the fireworks are a change from the norm making them a special treat. Costumes are allowed but scary masks are not so you don't have to worry about other guests being over the top in their Halloween dress.

Again you know what will affect your child best but Disneyland is there for all ages and will have fun things to see and do for all guests that night!
