Greetings and welcome to planDisney, Krista. We're so glad you're here and that you've shared this question with us. As the person who usually coordinates all of the plans for my group when we visit, I'm happy to help with your question.
Hooray! A visit to the Disneyland Resort is in your near future so let's make sure you're all set. Theme park tickets and reservations are required for entry to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
Theme park reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance of your visit. I took a peek at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar and see that all days in May are currently available for both parks (subject to change). I strongly recommend making your theme park reservations as soon as possible. I know once I have this step completed, I feel a lot better and then get to focus on things like...what to eat.
Speaking of eating,
dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance. I checked to see what was available on the day of your arrival and found some fantastic options (subject to change) including
Carthay Circle Restaurant and
Carnation Cafe (try the fried pickles). In addition to table service dining, there are also quick-service options throughout the resort. One of my favorite quick-service options is
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The Felucian Kefta & Hummus Garden Spread and Cold Brew Black Caf are out of this world.
I hope this was helpful, Krista. As you continue to plan your magical visit, please come back to see us with any other questions. I wish you all the best in your planning and a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
