Going to Disneyland on March 12-16. I have a room booked at Paradise Pier. Can you please tell me what the difference is between a standard room and a preferred room with a view is? I also opted for Concierge Level. Thank you in advance.

Congrats on your upcoming vacation to the Disneyland Resort!  Are you getting excited?  You should be...March is RIGHT around the corner!  You're gonna LOVE Disneyland's Paradise Pier Hotel.

Standard rooms at Paradise Pier are available in two different "view categories":  City/Standard View and Disney California Adventure View.  The California Adventure View rooms are considered "preferred" because they offer views of the park and World of Color, while the standard view rooms face away from the parks and offer city of Anaheim and pool views.  The only difference between standard and standard-preferred is the view.

Concierge level rooms are available in either Standard/City View or California Adventure View as well. The main difference between standard rooms and concierge level rooms is that Concierge level guests will have exclusive access to the Beach Comber Club, a lounge on the 2nd floor serving daily continental breakfast, snacks, hors d'oeuvres, and desserts... which I must say is a nice perk!  I have always enjoyed the Concierge Clubs at Disney resorts so I'm sure you will too!

A few of the Paradise Pier Concierge Rooms have outdoor patios overlooking the pool area.  These "Cabana Rooms" rooms are all located on the 3rd floor and are available based on availability.  Having the "cabana"  will give you convenient access to the pool and will allow you to spend some time relaxing in the almost perfect Southern California climate.

My tips:  If you decide to book a California Adventure View Room, be sure to request a higher floor for the best views of the park and World of Color.  For an even more magical experience, the World of Color Audio can be found on channel 46 on your television enabling you can tune in and listen to the soundtrack as you look down on this colorful show!

Please write back with any follow up questions you may have!
