Disneyland for the little ones I am taking my 3 year old to Disneyland for the first time in May, and she is so excited!!! I am worried about the long wait times though. I don't want to explain to her that 90 minutes equals 3 episodes of Doc McStuffins

    Greetings, Holly!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I can't wait for you and your little one to visit the Happiest Place on Earth! There are truly endless ways for kids at this age to experience the magic of a Disneyland Resort vacation.

As a fellow parent of a toddler, I definitely know the concerns you have about waiting in attraction lines. With a little planning and some tips, I know you will have a wonderful time and can really limit your wait times. Our rule is that we won't wait in any line longer than 30 minutes with my son, and we still have managed to experience SO many attractions and entertainment options. My number one tip is to arrive early. At park opening you will see the shortest wait times all around both parks. Even better is if you can take advantage of an Extra Magic Hour as a Disneyland Resort Hotel Guest.

My second most important piece of advice is to add Disney MaxPass to your park tickets. Although this is an added fee per person, per day, it's priceless when you want to limit time in popular attraction lines. This allows you to make digital Disney FASTPASS selections right from your mobile device throughout the day, and it includes unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass pictures taken. We like to ride attractions that don't offer FASTPASS service early in the day when lines are shortest and save our FASTPASS attractions for later on. Don't forget that many toddler-friendly experiences also have very little wait times all day like the Disneyland Railroad, Disneyland Monorail, meeting Characters, and seeing park atmosphere entertainment like the Disneyland Band or the Red Car Trolley News Boys.

I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions. Have a Fantasmic day!
