Greetings, and a very warm welcome back to
planDisney, Anne!
Nothing beats the
Holiday Season at Disneyland Resort where almost every turn is filled with merriment, dazzling fireworks, festive parades, and jolly versions of beloved attractions. Disney Characters don their finest holiday gear to greet you as they join Santa Claus for the merriest processions in town – how very excited you must be!
Anne, I wouldn’t want you or your daughter to miss a holiday meal or treat during your visit, keeping your daughter’s special dietary needs at the forefront.
Disneyland Resort’s – Special Dietary Requests resource offers helpful tips for managing your visit to be able to make appropriate choices at both table-service and quick-service dining venues.
My experience in keeping my son’s dietary needs in mind during our visits was that I was able to speak with a Cast Member trained in special diets, and often a time, I was able to speak with the restaurant chef who then provided me with the menu options best suited for my son. Anne, if your daughter requires extra consideration for such matters as requiring four (4) or more allergy-friendly requests, adhering to a medically-restrictive diet, or requiring food to be pureed, kindly contact the
Special Diets Team by email no sooner than 14 days before your arrival at
Special.Diets@Disneyland.com in order to fill in a
Special Dietary Request Form. Such communication may provide advance notice to the restaurants you wish to dine at. As well, the
Special Diets Team will offer any needed support for working through the dining process to best suit your daughter’s dietary needs.
Anne, when considering any quick-service meals, posted menus will include any available allergy-friendly options, and I find it helpful to consult with a Cast Member to ask about allergy-friendly options where I don’t see information on the menu, and often a time, every effort was made to accommodate my son.
Tips:At this time, advance
Disneyland Resort – Theme Park Reservations are required using valid theme park admission to visit a theme park, and that includes table-service dining venues located within a theme park which also require a standard
Disneyland Resort dining reservation.
Upon your arrival at a Disneyland Resort restaurant, please inform a Cast Member at the podium about your daughter’s special diet, even though you may have contacted the Special Diets Team in advance. As well, once seated at your table, please inform your serving team, just to make sure and also ask to see an allergy-friendly menu, or learn about menu options that suit your daughter’s needs. This is when the Cast Member trained in special diets or the chef may come forth to assist you further.
Anne, I hope this information is helpful to you, it was my pleasure helping and I wish you the most magical and joyous visit to Disneyland Resort!
Happy Disney Holidays!
