Greetings Jodi!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Fireworks at Disneyland Park are such a wonderful way to cap off a day of magic. The current show
Together Forever - A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular is so much more than just fireworks though. With projection effects and Pixar icons floating over Sleeping Beauty Castle, it's a show full of fun and surprises.
The roped off seated area you are referring to is unavailable to the public at this time, and not part of any dining packages. If you would like to be seated during the show, we have personally enjoyed sitting at the outdoor patio of
Plaza Inn while enjoying some fried chicken or dessert. I have also been able to see fireworks while sitting in Tomorrowland while having some delicious food off the
Galactic Grill late night menu. You may not be able to see all of the projections on the castle in these locations, but you can still get a nice view of the fireworks. Another great aspect of this show is that there are various places to watch the fireworks while experiencing the music and projections throughout the park. You can see these from the water screens of the Rivers of America and also in front of the facade of "it's a small world." I think it's refreshing to see the show from these different points of view. Also these viewing areas tend to be less crowded than in front of the castle or down Main Street, U.S.A.
I hope this was helpful, and remember that You've Got a Friend in Me here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
