It’s a small world after all, Menghan, and I’m so glad you found your way to planDisney! I’d love to help you with your question, so let’s get started!
It sounds like you’re heading to California this weekend -- what fun! Even though the
Disneyland Resort theme parks and Resort Hotels are currently closed, I’m happy to report that the Resort has begun
a phased reopening, and
Downtown Disney District is currently open! In addition,
starting on November 19, even more Disney dining and shopping opportunities will be available when Downtown Disney District extends to Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park!
Unfortunately, since the theme parks are currently closed, that means that
ticket sales have also been paused, so you won’t be able to purchase tickets at this time. However, I’m happy to report that tickets aren’t necessary for entering Downtown Disney District, so you shouldn’t have a problem visiting during your stay. Since you’re planning a visit on a weekend, I highly recommend making a dining reservation ahead of time. A reservation will give you priority access to the Simba Parking Lot, even when parking is temporarily paused. Here’s a list of the dining options
that are currently available in Downtown Disney District, along with a list of
which restaurants are currently accepting reservations.
Unfortunately, the Disneyland Resort isn’t currently offering any fireworks. I sure do miss fireworks and nighttime spectaculars! But, I’m thankful to have Downtown Disney District open, and I can’t wait to stroll down
Buena Vista Street in a few short days!
Once the parks do reopen, keep in mind that reservations will be required. I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog,
Disneyland.com, and the
Disneyland app for all the latest updates and information.
I hope this information helps! Please stop by with any additional questions… we’re all EARs!
