Hiya, Azar! Thanks so much for bringing your question to us here at planDisney! We love helping Guests just like yourself bring a little magic to their
Disneyland Resort vacations.
As someone that also has a fur baby that has been on more airplanes than my little Mouseketeers at this point, I totally understand wanting to bring your pup to spend a few days at the Happiest Place on Earth. While there are no plans to reopen the Disneyland Kennel, I think we can toss a little pixie dust in the air and find some alternatives with a little digging!
Many of the Good Neighbor Hotels in and around Anaheim are pet friendly! You can actually search for pup-friendly hotels on the Disneyland Resort website by navigating to the
"Places to Stay" tab and selecting
"Good Neighbor Hotels". These are hotels that have the Disney stamp of approval! Once the list is pulled up, tap the drop-down menu for "Hotel Features & Dining" and you will see the option to select Pet Friendly. I recommend getting in touch with the hotel directly to find out any rules and regulations for having your pet with you, but I'm hopeful this will be a good solution!
The Disneyland Resort is just like any other vacation where you could also look into local doggy daycares in Anaheim or even local one-on-one pet sitting options. With a quick internet search, I bet you can find some very solid options. I know how important it is to feel that your pet is in good hands, especially while you are out enjoying the magic!
While you are in planning mode, I highly recommend listening to (or watching!) the new
planDisney Podcast. Find out the best tips from my fellow panelists who are experts in all things
Disneyland Resort,
Walt Disney World Resort,
Disney Cruise Line, and
Disney Vacation Club! You will walk away with some insider advice, some fun facts, and some inspiration for your next magical getaway!
Azar, I know this was likely not the news you were hoping for, but I do hope it was helpful! If you have any more questions, feel free to come back to see us real soon over here at
planDisney!
Never stop dreaming,
Tara
