We are going to Disneyland in June. Our last day there my granddaughter will be turning 3, what is our best option as far as a ticket for her. We will be having maxpass hoppers for the rest of us.

    Hi there, Diane!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Your summer trip to the Disneyland Resort will be here before you know it! Celebrating your granddaughter’s 3rd birthday sounds like the perfect ending to your vacation!

Guests under the age of 3 do not require theme park admission. Therefore, your granddaughter will only require a theme park ticket on the last day of your vacation. If your group will have Park Hopper tickets, I would suggest the same ticket type for your granddaughter. This will allow her to enter both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park along with the rest of your group. It's not necessary to purchase a Disney MaxPass for your granddaughter if you’re not planning to make Disney FASTPASS reservations for her to use.

A couple of tips to make your granddaughter’s birthday extra special! Be sure to stop by Guest Relations for a complimentary birthday button! Cast Members would love to join the celebration by wishing her a Happy Birthday! If you’re making a dining reservation on the Disneyland website or the Disneyland App, you’re given the option to add a birthday cake. You may also call Disney Dining at (714) 781-DINE (714-781-3463) to add one. Special diet cake orders can be placed by emailing Special.Diets@disneyland.com with your request at least four weeks in advance of your dining reservation.

I hope you enjoy a magical vacation with your granddaughter. Please return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions!
