Hi I we are going to Disneyland in June for 2 days, with my husband and son (1 years old), but I am going again in July with just my sister and I. My question is, if I buy the 4 tickets can I switch my guest name from my husbands to my sisters come July.

Hey there, Madison! Welcome to planDisney! And, oh boy—two trips to the Disneyland Resort on the horizon?! That sounds like a double dose of magic, and what a fantastic way to experience all the wonder the parks have to offer!

Now, let's talk about those theme park tickets. Before we dive into your sister's ticket for July, I want to give you a quick heads-up regarding your own ticket, especially if you're thinking of purchasing a multi-day ticket to cover your visits in both June and July.

If you purchase, say, a 3-day ticket and use the first two days in June with your husband and son, the remaining day on that specific ticket must be used within 13 days of that first use. So, if your June and July visits are more than 13 days apart, you'd likely need separate tickets for yourself for each trip. In that case, I’d recommend a 2-day ticket for your first visit, and a 1-day or longer ticket for your second visit, depending on how long you’ll be visiting with your sister.

Once a theme park ticket is first used by a Guest for park entry, it becomes assigned to that individual for all its valid days and can't be transferred to another person later on. Every Guest needs their own ticket for admission. So, for your sister's visit in July, you can certainly purchase her ticket at the same time as your family's other tickets. The key is simply ensuring that her specific ticket remains completely unused by anyone until she's ready for her magical trip in July. And to give you peace of mind about purchasing tickets in advance, one-day tickets bought today directly from the Disneyland website or mobile app are valid all the way through December 30, 2026.

Now, about getting the name updated on the ticket—if you were to buy a ticket today intended for your sister, but perhaps initially put your husband's name on it before it's used, you can absolutely update it to your sister's name. To do this for an unused ticket, you'll want to call Guest Information and speak with a friendly Cast Member. They have the right magic to help you get that squared away.

Once your ticket situation is resolved, don't forget the next important step: making theme park reservations for everyone for the specific dates you all plan to visit in both June and July! This is a must-do to ensure entry into the parks.

And Madison, your timing is simply sparkling because your visits will coincide with the incredible Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration! Prepare for a truly unforgettable experience. You can expect to be dazzled by the return of beloved nighttime spectaculars, some brand-new entertainment that will have you cheering, and characters dressed in their festive best to mark this milestone. Keep an eye out for commemorative merchandise that will be perfect for remembering your trips, and unique, tasty treats specially created for the celebration. The entire resort is sure to be gleaming with festive decorations, making every photo opportunity even more magical. Definitely keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as more enchanting details are announced!

Wishing you and your family (and then you and your sister!) the most wonderful and memorable adventures at the Happiest Place on Earth! If any more questions pop up, we're always here to help at planDisney.
