Hello, Ashley! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!
How exciting - your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is just around the corner! You will be delighted to discover that the Disneyland Resort is very accommodating to those with mobility disabilities. First, if your mother will only require an
electric conveyance vehicle (ECV) while she is in the parks, she can rent this right outside Disneyland Park for a daily fee.
Once inside, there will be attractions that will require her to be ambulatory, transfer from the ECV to a wheelchair, transfer from the ECV to a ride vehicle, or attractions that will allow your mother to remain in her ECV while she rides. The
"Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities" page conveniently breaks it all down for you. For some attractions, you will enter the queue through a special entrance or through the exit. Up to five other people can enter these auxiliary entrances with your mother.
You can download and print
guides for each park designed especially for those with disabilities. They will denote the accessibility for each attraction. Additionally, you can use the Disneyland app to look up this information by tapping on a specific attraction and then tapping the "Accessibility & Other Information" option.
If you have any concerns while you are in the parks, simply stop by a Guest Relations location and a friendly Cast Member will be happy to help you out. I hope you have a fabulous trip to the Disneyland Resort!
