Hey there, Jeanette, and welcome to planDisney! I'm happy to hear you're planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort in July, and that you're considering a stay in my favorite hotel as well!
In my opinion, the easiest way to plan your perfect vacation is through the Disneyland website on the
Vacation Packages page. When you get to this page, scroll down a bit and click the blue button that says, "Book Your Vacation Package." Next, you'll be able to put in the dates that you're looking at along with the number of people in your party.
It will then show you the rates for the three
hotels of the Disneyland Resort, and you can select the Disneyland Hotel to choose which type of room you would prefer. When you see the room type you'd like, then add it to your cart. On the next page, you'll be able to select your
theme park tickets and any additional options you'd like to add.
Personally, I'm a huge proponent of both the
Park Hopper and
Disney Genie+ Service options! With the Park Hopper option, you'll make theme park reservations for the park you want to start your day at for each day of your trip, then you'll be able to hop back and forth between both parks starting at 11:00 AM. This makes it so convenient to be really flexible with your day - like a quick ride on
Indiana Jones™ Adventure in
Disneyland Park followed by lunch at
Lamplight Lounge in
Disney California Adventure Park.
As for Disney Genie+ Service, I especially love pairing this with the Park Hopper option because you can make
Lightning Lane entrance selections at select attractions between both parks! My family and I also love that you get
unlimited PhotoPass digital downloads, so we like to stop by as many PhotoPass photographers as we can to put together a fantastic photo album of our trip.
After you finish checking out, you should receive some confirmation emails. In one of them will be the information about your tickets, so make sure you use those details to make your
theme park reservations for each day of your trip! On the reservation page, you'll select the second blue button that says "Make Park Reservations," since you'll already have your tickets. After you log in to your Disneyland.com account, it will walk you through the reservation process and you'll be all set!
Thank you again for your question, Jeanette! Feel free to come back and see us here at planDisney if you think of any other questions as you continue to plan your trip. We'd love to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
