Hello there, Renae, and thanks for your question! A question about connecting suites at the
Disneyland Hotel must mean you are planning one exciting trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
Visiting the Disneyland Resort with a large group is so much fun, but I definitely understand that some additional details need to be addressed while planning - including finding appropriate accommodations. Luckily, the Disneyland Hotel is absolutely beautiful, is steps away from park entrances, and is even closer to a Krakatoa Punch, my favorite drink at
Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar.
As for the difference between the 2 Bedroom Family Connecting Suite and the 2 Bedroom Junior Connecting Suite - your guess was pretty much spot on. The Junior Connecting Suites are typically a bit smaller and can sleep between 8-9 guests, whereas the Family Connecting Suites have a bit more configurations and can sleep between 6-10 guests.
There are a few different variations for each type of room depending on your booked party size, so the square footage would change depending on that as well. You can see some
photos of both types of Suites on the Disneyland Hotel's website. If you're looking for specific accommodations or layouts, then I'd suggest you
call a Cast Member at the Hotel Reservations line to help you book your stay.
Since you're planning on staying at the Disneyland Hotel, make sure to take advantage of all the perks! With
Early Entry, you can enter Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park 30 minutes early to enjoy select attractions, dining, and shopping. You can also utilize
Next-Day Package Delivery so you can pick up your merchandise purchases the following day. Finally, I specifically love staying at the Disneyland Hotel because you are just a few steps away from the Not-So-Secret entrance to Disneyland Park - through the
Downtown Disney Monorail stop. You'll scan your Disneyland Park ticket at the turnstile (make sure you have a valid
park reservation!) and then get to take the scenic route on the monorail through Downtown Disney to the Tomorrowland Monorail Station right above
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.
I hope that is helpful, Renae! If you think of any follow-up questions, please feel free to
write me back directly - I'd love to help - and more importantly, enjoy your visit to the Disneyland Resort!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
