Hi Jennifer!
Welcome back to planDisney! You are going to love being in the parks on Halloween day. The Disneyland Resort feels a little more enchanted around big holiday celebrations, and getting to enjoy the last day of
Halloween Time will be extra magical. From the glowing
Mickey pumpkins along Main Street to the
spirited decor to
characters dressed in their Halloween best, every corner feels like a treat.
While there is so much to see and do as part of the Halloween Time festivities, having been in the parks myself on Thanksgiving day, I can understand wondering if there may be any extra pixie dust in store. I took a look at the
Entertainment Schedule, and currently, there are no additional events scheduled beyond what's been delighting Guests all season long. Sometimes the parks will do a "surprise and delight", something unexpected and unscheduled, but those are not reflected in the calendar. In my experience, Halloween Time itself has so much to offer, from parades, entertainment, decorations, and treats, that you may not even have time to soak in all the frightfully fun touches as is!
Over at Disneyland, be sure to make time to catch the Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade, where your kids will get to wave to their favorite pals in their Halloween looks. What I love about this is that you don't have to stake out a spot early to enjoy it, as it makes its way down Main Street twice a day in the afternoon. Be sure to check the Entertainment Schedule for exact times during your visit. In the evening, you won't want to miss
Halloween Screams with fireworks above Sleeping Beauty Castle. This is the last night to catch this season's show, and since it's a Friday, you will get to enjoy it with fireworks lighting up the night!
Even without a ticket to Oogie Boogie, California Adventure offers a lot of spooky fun for little ones during the day. From the new
Mickey's Trick or Treat show at the Disney Theater to Cars Land's transformation to Haul-O-Ween. Luigi's Honkin Haul-O-Ween and Mater's Graveyard JamBOOree will delight all ages! You'll even get to see some of your favorite cars in their Halloween costumes!
If you are staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel, I highly recommend asking about the
resort activities when you check in. On select nights, they are offering activities around decorating a pumpkin and having a master carver on hand to craft the best jack-o-lantern you've ever seen! Perhaps the most fun offering of the season is a complimentary trick-or-treat trail! You'll need to sign up with the front desk to learn more details, but get ready to fill those candy bags!
Jennifer, I guarantee that you will feel all the magic of Halloween during your visit on Friday. The parks are buzzing with happy haunts! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney!
Boo to you,
Tara
