Hi! The Disneyland Half Marathon will be my 1st half! I'm going to get a massage at a local spa and I'm trying to decide if I should schedule it for Sat. before the race or Sun. after the race. Friday we'll be spending the day at Disney with friends. :)

    Hi Katelyn!

Congrats on getting ready for your first half!  You have picked a very magical place to run:)

Personally, I like to schedule my massages for after the race.  It's something fun to look forward to when I am getting a little tired!  I definitely wouldn't schedule it before the race if you have never had a massage before a long run before.  While they are very good for your body, you don't want to do anything totally different to yourself before going to run 13.1 miles!   If it's something you normally do, then you would be fine.  I just prefer to save a treat like that for after I get my medal!

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions and have a great time with your friends at Disneyland!!  See you there!
