Hi Linda,
Thanks for stopping in to see us! At planDisney, we're Guests just like you who look forward to all the magic of a stay at the Disneyland Resort, and we always enjoy sharing tips from our own trip experiences as a way to help you plan your own stay.
It sounds like you've made some amazingly fun plans of your own with a
vacation package that includes a reservation at a Disneyland Resort
Good Neighbor Hotel and theme park tickets. I can imagine you're looking forward to all the magic that awaits you, especially the happy haunts in store when visiting the Disneyland Resort during Halloween Time!
While I can't speak to any future situations or scenarios around theme park operations, I can share the standard cancellation policies based on current Terms and Conditions.
If a vacation package cancellation is made 30 days or more before arrival, the amount paid can be refunded, with any third-party fees taken out of the refund. If a cancellation is made 5 to 29 days before arrival, a $200 cancellation fee would be applied, and the remaining amount paid can be refunded, with any third-party fees taken out of the refund. If a cancellation is made 4 days or less before arrival, or in the event of a no-show, the vacation package would be non-refundable.
My best suggestion for questions about the specific Terms and Conditions of your vacation package, or to
make changes to your package, is to call the Disneyland Resort at (714) 520-5060.
In general, theme park tickets purchased for the Disneyland Resort are non-refundable, and this would also apply to tickets purchased for special events like Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party.
It's helpful to know that the standard admission theme park tickets typically offer some flexibility for using the tickets. For example,
multi-day theme park tickets purchased today would not expire until January 12, 2023, or until 13 days after the tickets are first used for theme park admission, depending on which of those dates would come first.
One-day theme park tickets could be used for admission on different dates depending on the specific ticket type and ticket tier.
It's also helpful to know that, if a theme park ticket is not used and it expires, the amount paid for that ticket can typically be applied towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket.
One more note I'll offer that I hope can be helpful, Linda, is to mention that the Disneyland Resort did extend expiration dates for theme park ticket purchases that were impacted by the previous operational closures. You can take a look at the
"Modifications and Cancellations" information to get an idea of the modifications that were put in place.
Linda, I hope this information is helpful as you plan to enjoy your visit to the Disneyland Resort. Be sure to check out the
"Know before You Go" updates to get the latest details, and be sure to follow
the Disney Parks Blog to stay in the know.
Here's wishing you a wonderful stay, and here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today!
Jerry
