How do Disneyland flex passport reservations work? Is each day I chose a different reservation, or do I select a block of dates and those all count as one reservation. If I go for 3 days, do I have to wait until after the first day to reserve the 3rd one?

    Hello, Christopher,

The new Disney Flex Passport is a great blend of flexibility and value. With a generous portion of “Good to Go!” dates and nearly the remaining year available for visits with a reservation, this Annual Passport is a great way to experience the Disneyland Resort throughout the year. Each reservation, which can be made up to 30 days in advance, is good for one day of entry into the park or parks that require a reservation that day. You are correct that Passholders using the Disney Flex Passport may make reservations for up to two days within the next 30-day period. If a third reservation day is desired, one of the two original reservation days either must first be used or must be canceled.

From my observations so far, it seems that reservations run out for a particular date pretty rarely. Though reservation availability cannot be guaranteed for any given “Reservation Required” date in the future, historically, the chances of making that third-day reservation have been pretty high. Here are a couple of tips for making vacation plans with the Disney Flex Passport. First, try to schedule the visits during days that include dates when at least one of the parks is available on a “Good to Go!” day. That way, if additional reservations are needed for the other park that day but may not be available as the date approaches, at least the one park will be available to enter. Second, if possible to anticipate a date that is more likely to run out of reservations, select that date as one of your two advanced reservations. For example, if you would like to visit on a Saturday, Sunday and Monday, where the Monday is a popular holiday, consider reserving the Saturday and holiday dates. Then, after using the Saturday reservation, make the necessary reservation for the Sunday.

I hope you enjoy becoming a part of the Passholder family. The many benefits of being a Passholder are part of what keeps me going back to the Disneyland Resort! I particularly like the merchandise and dining discounts. Even many of the shops and restaurants of the Downtown Disney District offer Passholder discounts!

I hope you have a magical time, Christopher!
