Going to Disneyland for the first time in two weeks. I am going for only one day, what are the best rides to do? Also, does splash mountain close for refurbishment in Disneyland during February like it does at Disney World?

    Hiya, Lea!

I love experiencing Disney Parks attractions that are unique to either the Disneyland Resort or the Walt Disney World Resort. Many attractions that you can find at both locations may have unique features that make them worthwhile to experience. Here are some thoughts about finding that unique Disneyland Resort experience:

    Disneyland Park
    • The ride system of Matterhorn Bobsleds is similar to that of Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom Park. But you'll find a unique story and an exhilarating chase as you escape from the yeti of Matterhorn Mountain.
    • Formerly a staple of Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom Park, Toad Hall in Disneyland Park's Fantasyland remains the home of the 1955 original Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.
    • My fellow panelist Tiffanie reminded me that the Disneyland Railroad includes the amazing dioramas that Walt Disney's Imagineers created for the 1964 New York World's Fair.
    • If you like DINOSAUR at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you'll love Indiana Jones Adventure.
    • You may think you know Pirates of the Caribbean. But the last attraction that Walt personally supervised includes a few surprises that you won't find in Florida.
    • Splash Mountain does occasionally go offline for refurbishment. But it looks likely that Brer Rabbit and his friends will be able to welcome you during your upcoming visit.
