Hi! We are going to Disneyland, for the first time, at the end of December for New Year’s Eve! 3 adults, 2 kids. We’ll spend 2 days at the parks. Any info or advice for us to make the most of our trip? I’ve read it’s one of the most crowded times of year!

    Hi Chelsea!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Ringing in the new year at the Disneyland Resort has always been a dream of mine! Not only will you be able to celebrate the festivities of New Year's Eve itself, but you'll still get to enjoy the sensational seasonal offerings and holiday decor at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

You are correct that this is a very popular time to visit the Disneyland Resort, but that is because it truly is the most magical time of year. My advice for making the most of your trip is similar to what I would recommend during any popular season. My number one tip is to get to the Parks early! If you stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you can even enjoy an Extra Magic Hour in the morning that will be crucial to experiencing the most attractions with little wait time. Also during your stay, be sure not to miss some of the special attractions like "it's a small world" Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday that have transformed for the Holiday season.

My second piece of advice is to purchase Disney MaxPass while utilizing the Disneyland App where you can make digital FASTPASS selections right from your mobile device. This ensures the most efficient way to experience many attractions while also saving you time to appreciate the surroundings and seasonal food offerings at the Disneyland Resort.

I just can't wait for your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
