Hello, Wilma!
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this question. Congratulations to your daughter-in-law on her pregnancy! I’m glad to hear you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth as a family.
I think your daughter-in-law will be pleasantly surprised by how many attractions she’ll be able to experience as a pregnant mom--I know I was when I was expecting! I visited the
Disneyland Resort theme parks during various stages of pregnancy with both of my little ones and was able to enjoy many attractions safely and comfortably. However, there are a handful of thrill rides in each theme park that pregnant women are advised to avoid. Please visit the
Attractions page on disneyland.com and select the Expectant Mothers Advisory box under the Accessibility & Advisories tab. This will generate a list of attractions she should not ride while pregnant in the interest of her baby’s safety. Only Guests who will board an attraction may enter the queue, so it would be best for her to use that time to relax while the rest of the family experiences it.
It's a good idea for her to take breaks to enjoy a cool drink and snack out of the sun throughout the day. A grand circle tour on the
Disneyland Railroad offers about 20 minutes of shade and fresh air, with the added benefit of a relaxing, scenic trip around the park from the comfort of a seat. She can also ask for free cups of ice water at any quick-service restaurant to prevent dehydration.
I hope these tips help, Wilma. Please don’t hesitate to stop by again with any other questions you can dream of as your family’s pixie-dusted vacation approaches!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
