I am going to Disneyland in a few days and I have been looking around to find definite rules on a GoPro camera. I haven't been to the park since 2003 and I would really like to use my new GoPro at the park. Just want to make sure before I go. Thanks!

    Hey Paul!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad to hear that you’re making your way back to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Capturing the magic of the Disneyland Resort is one of my favorite things to do. You'll never catch me without my camera and other gear at the parks. My kids have grown up going to Disney Parks and having those videos and pictures as they get older are priceless. You’ll be very happy to hear that a GoPro camera is currently not on the list of prohibited items in the parks. One thing I will mention though, make sure you DO NOT bring a selfie stick or any other extendable handle to attach it to. That is a big no no in the parks. If you don’t have one already, you can purchase a short handle for it that doesn’t extend. It’s the perfect way to carry your GoPro around the parks.

I’m not sure when you plan on visiting the parks, but the new daytime parade “Magic Happens” has made its debut at Disneyland Park. It’s fun, upbeat and you’ll catch Mickey and his friends coming down Main Street U.S.A. It’s the perfect parade to get your dance on!

Also, just announced for an opening of July 18th, 2020 is Avengers Campus. It’s an all new land at Disney California Adventure Park. The Avengers are looking to recruit you as a new Super Hero. Keep in touch with the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest information on Avengers Campus.

Well Paul, Whether you’re shooting the parks or your family, you’ll capture memories that will last a lifetime.

Remember, always believe in the magic!
