Hello - At Disneyland, if a family does not purchase lightening lane for Rise of the Resistance, can they still do rider switch? Meaning, one parent waits in the standby line, the other parent gets a ride switch pass?

    Bright Suns, Taylor!

Ah, life with a little Padawan is always full of adventure! There is so much for everyone to explore on Batuu, you're going to love it.

A Lightning Lane is not required to use Rider Switch at the parks. For Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance you'll need to keep your flight crew together and make contact with a Resistance representative at the entrance of the attraction. You will let them know who is riding first and who is riding second, and they'll scan the tickets or MagicBand+ of those in the second group. The first group then joins the line while the second group waits. When your first group returns just send the second group to report for duty as directed by the Resistance.

While you are waiting for the rest of your crew there is a lot to see around Black Spire Outpost! My kids are always fascinated by the unique residents of the Creature Stall, and Ronto Roasters is a great place to grab a snack. The outpost tends to attract some adventurous visitors, so keep your eyes open for bounty hunters, wookies, and the First Order!

If you have a Disney MagicBand+ you can join the Bounty Hunter Guild and get a job tracking down a hidden fugitive! To join the cause you'll need to visit the job board, follow the lights and vibrations on your band, and then use the Play Disney Parks App to scan the right door and discover who is hiding behind it! When you return to report your hard work you'll earn a few credits and have the chance to take on another job. My kids love playing along and seeing who we meet as we explore!

You'll be racing through the galaxy soon, Taylor! May the Force be with you!

    Keep moving forward!
