We are going to Disneyland with another family but want to link our lightening lanes so we can reserve rides together. How can we do that?

Hi Tamara! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Let's get to it quicker than quick!

There is no better trip to Disneyland than one with friends and family! To coordinate the fun and book Lightning Lanes together, at least one person in your group needs to have all tickets for both families added to their Disneyland Mobile app. Tickets can be added to multiple MyDisney accounts, so it might be a good idea to have one person from each family have all of the tickets in their app. Once everyone is scanned into a theme park for the day, you will be able to create a group to book Lightning Lane return times for the day.

To add a ticket to your account, you will need to log in to your MyDisney Account in the Disneyland App. Then, head to the app home screen, and click the three horizontal lines (☰) in the bottom right-hand corner. Click the "My Tickets & Passes" box in the upper left. On the next screen, click the blue plus sign in the upper right. From here, click "Link Tickets & Passes," and there are several ways to add your theme park tickets. My preferred method is to scan the ticket barcode from one friend's app to add it to mine, but you can also type the Ticket ID in. You will need to repeat this process for every Guest in your group.

Tamara, I know I mentioned it above, but I want to reiterate that Guests must have scanned into one of the Disneyland Resort theme parks to book Lightning Lanes. So, if you or your friends enter the park before the others, you would only be able to book return times for those in the park. However, once everyone has entered for the day, you can join their planning group for subsequent return times. I also highly suggest getting to the parks as early as you can, as it gives you the most options for Lightning Lane Multi Pass return times. I hope that makes sense!

One last tip before I go: Don't forget that purchasing a Lightning Lane Multi Pass gives you unlimited free Disney PhotoPass downloads on the day of your visit. (Photos are the best souvenirs as they don't take up any space!) Find PhotoPass photographers inside the parks by using the map in the mobile app. Click on the pink drop icon at the bottom of the home screen and then scroll to the PhotoPass icon to find all of their locations!

Thanks again for stopping by, Tamara. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

    See ya real soon,
