Hi Terra! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
I'm sorry there is no reserved viewing for the fireworks at Disneyland Park on your preferred date. I'm sure that's disappointing. I'm sorry if that's not the magical news you were hoping for. Trust that there will be many magical experiences during your trip and this needn't spoil anything, and you can watch Wondrous Journeys from many vantage points throughout Disneyland Park. Crowds are heaviest on Main Street, U.S.A, but you can find less crowded viewing spots. Rivers of America in Frontierland is a great location where you shouldn't have to camp out and "it's a small world" in Fantasyland is another good spot with its own projections.
There are similarly reserved viewing areas for nighttime entertainment elsewhere in the parks.
World of Color - ONE will be entertaining Guests in Paradise Gardens Park at Disney California Adventure Park on that date, and there are reserved viewing options for that spectacular nighttime entertainment. One option is the
World of Color Dessert Party. You'll enjoy a seated view of the show while dining on a selection of yummy cheeses and sweets and sipping a beverage. My tip is to request one of the high-top tables with directors' chairs for a better view during the show.
Your other option is the
World of Color Dining Packages. There's no special reservation needed for this package, although a reservation for the restaurant isn't a bad idea. You'll simply let your host or server know you'd like to enjoy the Dining Package. Choose this package at lunch or dinner at
Wine Country Trattoria in Pacific Wharf at Disney California Adventure Park or at the dinner buffet at
Storytellers Cafe in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. You'll receive a voucher for a preferred viewing area to enjoy the entertainment, which is separate from the dining location where you dined.
I hope this helps!
Elizabeth
