We will be going to Disneyland to enjoy the holidays! Is it less crowded mid-November or right after Thanksgiving weekend?

    Hi, Kerry!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so happy to hear that you’re planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort during the holiday season. It’s a wonderful time to explore the parks and enjoy the special attractions, events, decorations and treats!

In my experience, any week immediately before or after a holiday tends to be busier because it’s a popular period for families to take time off from school and work for vacations. I recommend that you plan a mid-November visit so you can enjoy all the special holiday extras when the parks aren’t quite as busy. Crowds are also particularly lighter on weekdays, so keep that in mind as you select dates.

You won’t want to miss the Haunted Mansion Holiday and “it’s a small world” Holiday attractions, and the “Believe…In Holiday Magic” fireworks show is a must-see. I’m so excited about a show coming to Disney California Adventure Park called “World of Color—Winder Dreams,” a nighttime water spectacular that will bring all-new and amazing animation to the popular show. It debuts on Nov. 15 and will be featured throughout the season.

I hope this helps, Kerry, and that you have a perfectly pixie-dusted vacation at The Happiest Place on Earth! Please write back with any other questions you may have.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
