Disneyland doesn't advertise popcorn refills. I have been to both Disney World and Aulani and both offer the refills. Can you confirm that Disneyland offers the refills on the purchased popcorn buckets?

    Hi Kimberly!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending your Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR. Oh wow, you've been to so many great Disney Destinations, you should apply to be a planDisney Panelist this fall!

One of my favorite things to do between the two coasts is to compare what's the same and what's different between the lands, attractions, and even the dining options, of Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. While you are correct that Mickey serves up popcorn refills at his Florida house and his Hawaiian vacation home, Disneyland Resort does not participate in this type of snack sharing program. There have been times throughout the year when refillable options are open to Magic Key Passholders, but those are few and far between. I am pleased to say that you'll find some super cute popcorn bucket designs that mirror their east coast counterparts in themes and designs, but with specific touches and nods to Walt's original park. And something else that is similar but also a little bit different is Disneyland has the same plastic beverage mugs that you'll find at Disney World's Resorts Collection of Hotels, but instead of these sippers offering refills at the hotels, you can get these non-refillable options as your souvenEAR with purchase of select hot or cold beverages at most Quick-Service Dining Locations. Pro Tip: If you'd like to see the design ahead of time, go through the steps of making a Mobile Food and Beverage Order in your Disneyland Mobile App. In the ordering screen you'll see pictures of the offerings each Quick Service location has vs. the menu which just displays a description and the price.

I don't have your visit dates in my system, Kimberly, but if your vacation is between March 4 and April 26 you'll arrive just in time for the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. It's the best-ival! One thing that this park does better (in my opinion) than Epcot's many festivals is you can order and pay for all of the dishes you'd like to try for the day at one Festival Kitchen Kiosk; then as you make your way around the park you'll show your receipt at the pickup window(s) that serves each of those dishes, which eliminates the need to stand in multiple payment lines. Genius, right?

I know this wasn't the answer you were looking for, Kimberly, but I hope that it didn't damper on your upcoming visit to Mickey's house. Be sure to follow the official planDisney Instagram account for all kinds of tips and tricks. Thanks for popping by, and if you have any more vacation questions, We're All Ears!
