Hello again, Taylor, thank you for stopping by
planDisney!
I am so happy to hear that you are planning a visit to
Walt Disney World Resort, especially during the 50th Anniversary Celebration!
When we compare
Disneyland Resort to Walt Disney World Resort the first factor is the difference in size. As you know, Disneyland Resort offers two theme parks, the Downtown Disney District and three beautiful Disneyland Resort Hotels and is pedestrian-friendly. Alternatively,
Walt Disney World Resort offers four theme parks, two water parks, championship-level golf courses and over
25 Disney Resorts Hotel Collection properties at different price-point categories - Value Resorts, Moderate Resorts, Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villas which offer amenities similar to home. And lastly, Walt Disney World Resort offers a shopping, dining and entertainment district called
Disney Springs.
Walt Disney World Resort Transportation is complimentary between Disney Resort Hotels, theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs and Disney Resort Hotels are loosely clustered around each of the four theme parks. One of my favourite areas is
Disney's BoardWalk which offers coastal-style Disney Resort Hotels complete with a boardwalk promenade offering many exciting activities, dining and shopping, best of all this area is right between two theme parks, EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios accessed either by foot or by a watercraft service.
There are three Deluxe Resorts on the
Walt Disney World® Monorail Transportation which leads to Magic Kingdom Park, and there is a cluster of hotels with access to the
Disney Skyliner gondola service which takes Guests to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you stay at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, for example, not only will you be near Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, but you will have a Guest Room balcony that overlooks an active savanna. The skies are the limit and the choices are all yours depending on your travel style and budget.
