Hi there, Lorena,
Thanks for bringing such a good question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. While the
dining locations at the Disneyland Resort don’t have menus specific for guests following a special bariatric diet, many accommodations can be made. At each restaurant you visit, you are more than welcome to reach out to a chef or
special diets-trained Cast Member before placing an order. Communicate with them any dietary restrictions you have and they will do their best to adapt preparations to suit your needs. For specific questions or concerns, you may reach out to the
Special Diets Team via email.
I recommend reviewing the menus for restaurants that may interest you. You may find them online or in the
Disneyland app. If there is a menu item that appears a good match for your diet, the kitchen may be more likely to make any minor modifications that might be needed. Feel free to order items from the
kids’ menus as well. The smaller portions and typically softer foods may be a good match. Just be aware that you may still need to pay adult prices for kids’ meals at some restaurants.
You are also welcome to bring your
outside food and drink with you to the parks. Having your protein drinks or other appropriate meals handy may be a great convenience for you. You may also want to bring along empty food containers to keep leftovers from large meals. That way you may be able to enjoy the remainder later for another meal or small snack. And don’t forget to stay hydrated. Reusable water bottles may be refilled at various
bottle refilling stations or
drinking fountains throughout the resort. You may even request complimentary cups of water from any
Quick Service dining location, no purchase necessary.
Good luck with the diet, Lorena. Please do come back with any additional questions you may have.
