We have DisneyLand 4-day Salute tickets that we haven't activated at the park. When it's time to reserve park dates, will we be able to reserve dates ahead of time? Do we need to validate tickets with military id in person before reserving dates?

Hey howdy hey, Kyle, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad you’re here!

First off, I want to thank you for your service! We appreciate the sacrifices you and your family make for our country! I’m happy to hEAR that you have already purchased your Military Promotional Tickets. So, when it’s time to start making park reservations, you’re one step ahead of the game! To get ready, I recommend linking your tickets to the Disneyland app. After creating a Disney account, scroll down until you find “My Tickets,” then, in the top right corner, click on the blue “+”. Select the option to “Link Tickets & Passes.” Next, scan the barcode for each ticket that you’d like to link, or enter the ID numbers manually. Then, continue entering the remaining tickets for your family in the same manner. This way, your tickets should be linked to your Disney account, should you need them there in order to use the new reservation system. If you have any trouble scanning and linking your tickets, I recommend calling (714) 781-4636 for additional help from a Cast Member.

Once it’s time to return to the magic with your Military Promotional Tickets, you’ll be able to head straight to the Main Entrance of Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. Just be sure to have your Military ID ready, along with your tickets. The Cast Member at the gate will scan your tickets, then take a picture of each Guest in your group.

The Disneyland Resort hasn’t announced when the new theme-park reservation system will be available just yet. Here’s what we do know: The Resort will manage attendance through a new reservation system that will require all Guests to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance. Reservations will be subject to availability. We should have more information about this new system soon, so I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and on Disneyland.com for the latest updates.

I hope this information helps, Kyle! Please stop by with any additional questions… we’re all EARs!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
