Greetings, Danielle!
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. Enjoying the
holiday season at the Happiest Place on Earth is pure magic. From the twinkling lights on
Sleeping Beauty Castle to festive treats to Mickey and Minnie in their holiday best, there's a dose of holly jolly around every corner. If timing your visit just right to catch the early days of this festive season is important to you, let's take a look at the calendar!
With
Halloween Time wrapping up on October 31st, Guests will start to see pops of holiday decor spring up in the two weeks between then and the official launch of the season on November 14th. We all got a bit of a surprise this week when Sleeping Beauty Castle revealed some snow-capped turrets overnight! If you plan to visit in the window between Halloween and November 14th, there is no real guarantee of when decorations will be up, but you will likely start to spot some touches of the festive season here and there as the parks prepare for November 14th.
I know you were probably hoping to hear that the Holidays would arrive in time for your trip the first week of November, so I'm sorry if this puts a bit of a damper on the pixie dust. The best I can tell you is that there will be touches here and there, but it will likely not yet be in full swing. The good news is that
Haunted Mansion Holiday, Jack Skellington's takeover of this fan-favorite attraction, is already open for the season. You won't want to miss this limited-time takeover, especially the gingerbread house in the ballroom! You will also be able to get a dose of the season as holiday merchandise has already landed, which makes shopping down Main Street feel special and festive. I visited Walt Disney World just a week ago and was able to purchase the new peppermint Minnie ears for my daughter in preparation for our holiday trip in December!
Danielle, I hope this has been helpful! One perk of visiting during this in-between window is that you will get to enjoy some of the special touches of the 70th Anniversary as well, in particular, the
Paint the Night parade, which will be paused once the holidays officially arrive. And, of course, there is magic to discover every day of the year at the Happiest Place on Earth.
If you have any more questions ahead of your visit, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Magic awaits!
Tara
