    is disneyland cashless

Dear Mya, welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with this great question. I bet you’re very excited about your upcoming visit!

Mya, cash is accepted at Disneyland Resort, though they recommend using contactless payment options when possible. Also, it’s very convenient to make in-app purchases when you have a contactless payment option available to you. For instance, if you want to use mobile ordering for meals and snacks using the Disneyland mobile app, you’ll need a debit card, credit card or Disney Gift Card to make those purchases.

If you want to take cash with you to Disneyland Resort, one option is to purchase a Disney Gift Card at any gift shop using your cash, then you can use that Disney Gift Card for purchases within the Disneyland mobile app or in person. You can store the Disney Gift Card in a mobile wallet like Apple Wallet, or you can physically scan it when purchasing food and merchandise at the parks. You can reload the card using cash at a gift shop if needed.

I hope you’ve got some Disney snacks in mind you’re looking forward to! If you haven’t tried them before, pop over to Mint Julep Bar for my favorite Disney snack – Mickey-shaped Beignets! They are warm, fluffy, and perfectly coated in powdered sugar. You can purchase them in person or use mobile order within the app!

    The magic awaits,
