Hi there, Joyce. Thanks for taking the time to visit us on planDisney with your question.
I’m happy to hear you’re planning a trip to the
Happiest Place on Earth during the holidays. It is one of my favorite times of the year to visit the theme parks. There is something magical seeing the snowcapped turrets above Sleeping Beauty Castle and the festive decorations throughout the parks.
Disneyland Resort theme parks have welcomed Guests young and young-at-heart on Christmas Day, with the exception of Christmas 2020 due to the pandemic. In the past, before the implementation of theme park reservations, there were times when the parks stopped allowing in Guests when capacity was reached during peak days like Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve. Nowadays, Guests are required to make theme park reservations when they purchase their tickets. I just looked at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar and you’re able to book up to 120 days in advance, until October 19, 2021 at this time. Each day, a new date for reservation opens up. If this process of booking 120 days in advance continues, then you’ll be able to book your Christmas Day visit in a little over 2 months from now.
