Hiya, Reena!
Thanks for coming by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It's sure a privilege to do whatever I can to help make your visit to the Disneyland Resort even more magical. And magic is just what you'll find for the first-time visitor and
birthday guests at the Happiest Place on Earth! The best way to find any extra pixie dust that may be out there is to stop by one of the main
Guest Relations locations. In Disneyland Park, start your visit off at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. In Disney California Adventure Park, head over to Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street. At either of those locations, you'll be able to request complimentary "1st Visit!" and "Happy Birthday!" buttons. Then have each first-time guest or child celebrating a birthday wear those buttons with pride. That's a signal to Cast Members to go out of their way to welcome them to the Disneyland Resort and make their day brighter.
My daughter wore her "Happy Birthday!" button on a recent family vacation. She beamed and said "thank you!" to each Cast Member that gave an extra smile along with a hearty "happy birthday!" Her one request for her birthday was lunch at
Blue Bayou Restaurant. When we checked in at the restaurant, we were asked if we were celebrating anything that day. Wouldn't you know it, later on, our server brought out a lovely chocolate cake complete with a candle for her to blow out for some birthday wishes! You just never know what birthday surprises may be in store.
If you are looking even more special ways to enhance your visit, celebration cakes may be delivered to most
table service restaurants. Just call ahead to (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3463 to place an order. And a visit to the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at the Disneyland Resort may be just the thing to make dreams come true for young princesses or knights.
I hope you and your party have a magical time, Reena! Please stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any more questions you may have.
