We are going to Disneyland CA next week. What is Genie+ vs Lighting Lanes?

Hi there, Rummy. Welcome to planDisney! Your trip is right around the corner - I'll bet you are so excited!

To answer your question, Genie+ and Lighting Lane Muli Pass are the same thing. Genie+ is the old name for the add-on service. As of July, it was rebranded to Lighting Lane Multi Pass. You can add this service when you initially purchase your theme park tickets or on the day of your visit on a first-come-first-served basis. It can be purchased through the Disneyland Mobile App if purchasing the day of your visit. Lighting Lane Multi Pass allows you to select return times for certain rides one at a time throughout the day. The return time allows you to bypass most of the standby queue. Lighting Lane Multi Pass also gives you unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads from your day! It is one of my favorite tips for maximizing a park day.

Rummy, another add-on is Lighting Lane (LL) Single Pass, which is an additional cost for return times to the most popular rides at the Disneyland Resort, like Radiator Springs Racers and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. The LL Single Pass can be purchased after park entry.

I hope this helps. If you need more information or have any other questions, please let me know. I'd be honored to help plan the most magical visit!

    See you in the parks,
    Melissa
