Hi, I will be in Disneyland in August and I have a party of 7. How can I book a dining experience for more than 6, because it looks like that is a max right now?

Hey there, hi there, Sarah! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad to see you've stopped by for some help with dining reservations and I am here to try to help!

First off, hooray for an August trip to the Disneyland Resort! Once you reach 60 days out from your trip, you will be able to make dining reservations for your party. You will be able to make dining reservations from the reservations page on the Disneyland website or from the specific dining locations page on the Disneyland website. I think you'll be happy to know that I did a quick search on the reservations page for a random date for a party of eight and there were a handful of reservations available for that day.

I hope this helps you in your dining reservation planning, but if you have any difficulties securing all the dining reservations that you wish to try to get I have some helpful tips.

If you do not get the reservation you want 60 days out, keep diligently checking. While we see that the majority of reservations are released 60 days out, we've also seen some trickle into the system in the days after. Also, as many parties continue to plan and adjust their plans, cancellations do happen and you might have success on a random day. This seems to be especially true in the few days leading up to your arrival.

Another option is to walk up to the location and ask if they are taking walk-ups. I did this on a very busy day with friends and we were able to walk up to Blue Bayou and be seated an hour later as a party of eight. In the Disneyland app, there is also a mobile walk-up list for participating locations for day-of reservations.

Sarah, I hope between these tips you are able to get a few dining reservations you've been wanting. There are so many great options between the two parks, I am sure you will leave with happy and full bellies.  See you real soon!
