Hi Jessica! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
Disneyland Resort has moved towards paperless ticketing as much as possible, and physical tickets aren't typically offered anymore when you scan into the parks. I'm sorry if that's disappointing. While I understand you want to be present and not always attached to your mobile device, the
Disneyland mobile app does have handy features you'll appreciate, such as the ability to check wait times and mobile order food and beverages. I suggest you download it in advance and familiarize yourself with its functions so you can quickly take advantage of those tools without wasting time swiping through options in the park.
Since you're interested in purchasing and using
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, a service that allows Guests to spend less time in queues, you should be aware that you can only book Lightning Lane Entrance return times using a mobile device. A physical barcode won't be enough. You need a mobile device and the app to view currently available return times, book those return times, and redeem them.
There is one workaround you might be interested in for your older kids with Lightning Lane Multi Pass. You could book a Lightning Lane Entrance return time for them and then split up for a little bit. So long as they know their return window, they can redeem their Lightning Lane by scanning in at the Lightning Lane Entrance using a band linked to their ticket.
MagicBand+ is a hands-free option for scanning into the parks and Lightning Lane Entrances. These bands also offer an immersive experience, lighting up and buzzing on your wrist during selecting Entertainment and on some Attractions.
I hope this helps!
Elizabeth
