Hi Eileen! Welcome back to planDisney!
Thank you for stopping by with your great question. What an exciting and very special visit you have in the works to the Happiest Place on Earth soon! The end of August is one of my family's favorite times of year to visit Disneyland, for so many reasons, but especially for the opportunity to experience the frightfully fun
Halloween season, which begins August 22 this year!
Based on the time of year, Eileen, fireworks and
Fantasmic! in Disneyland Park may occur every night or weekends only, it just depends! I encourage you to check the
Hours & Events Calendar on the Disneyland website six weeks prior to your visit (which is coming up soon for you!), under "Fireworks & Nighttime Entertainment," for the most current information and to see which dates fireworks and Fantasmic! may be occurring during your visit. Make sure your particular date is selected from the "Change Date" at the top.
If, for whatever reason, you only have one night to experience both the fireworks and Fantasmic!, Eileen, I suggest purchasing a Rancho del Zocalo
Fantasmic! Dining Package for the first showing to secure a great viewing spot. (Rancho del Zocalo is an incredible value for the Fantasmic! Dining Package.) Then, after the conclusion of Fantasmic!, experience the fireworks from the very same spot! Projections will be displayed over the Rivers of America - two for one!
All that said, it's important to know that the schedule can change at any time and fireworks at Disneyland Park can also be cancelled last minute due to weather, unfortunately.
I hope this information has been helpful to you, Eileen! I trust you'll be dreaming a fantastic dream in no time. If any other planning questions come up as you're preparing for your upcoming visit, you know where to find us!
Magic awaits,
McCayla
