Darth Vader is such an iconic Star Wars character, and it’s no question why Guests love interacting with the dark side of the Force. If you happen to wander around Black Spire Outpost in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, there’s often a chance you’ll find Darth Vader and his Imperial Stormtroopers marching by. While it’s not exactly a formal meet-and-greet, you may be able to grab photos or even a quick selfie as he walks past. The
Disneyland Mobile App is going to be your best friend for checking when and where he may appear throughout the day.
If you’re a Disney Visa Cardmember, Star Wars Launch Bay offers
a unique, cardmember-exclusive Star Wars photo experience for Guests. In my experience, Darth Vader is usually waiting inside for Guests to take pictures with. While this is subject to change, it doesn’t hurt to ask the Cast Member posted outside of Star Wars Launch Bay who’s currently meeting Guests.
During your stay, you’ll be pleased to know that the Rebellion is looking for eager Guests to join them during
Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite on select nights. This after-hours event allows you to dress up according to which side you align with most as you enjoy themed photo opportunities, including flying through the forests of Endor. If you’re on the hunt for even more Star Wars characters, especially ones you don’t typically see, this event is for you. The Mandalorian and Grogu, Boba Fett, Emperor Palpatine, Darth Maul, Fennec Shand, Queen Amidala, R2-D2, C-3PO, Hera and Chopper, Jawas, and Ewoks will be available for photo opportunities throughout the evening.
Tickets are currently still available but tend to sell out quickly, like most Disneyland After Dark events.
