Hi Emily! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
My family loves the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. You're going to have the best time enjoying the culinary experiences, entertainment, and special merchandise. Be sure to pick up a
Sip and Savor Pass, so you can sample all the tasty offerings from the dining locations. It's great for sharing! And if you like to plan what you want to eat, check out the
Disney Eats Foodie Guide. Disney Eats is the official food and drink news source for the parks, so they have all the information you're craving! There's bound to be something you don't want to miss.
Bookable Experiences like the
Beverage Education Seminars at Sonoma Terrace are a magical way to enhance your festival experience. They do require a reservation, however, and as you've discovered, they are popular and can fill up. There is no waiting list, unfortunately, as cancellations are prohibited according to the current terms of booking.
I'm sorry you've run into your preferred date being full. If you enjoy a good cocktail, there are some other spots in Disney California Adventure Park I can recommend, including
Lamplight Lounge in Pixar Pier. This dining location has great views, delicious menu choices, and tasty cocktails. It's always a favorite. Otherwise, try
Carthay Circle Restaurant on Buena Vista Street, which has an impressive wine list, cocktail menu, and iconic retro styling. I've got plans in May to celebrate my birthday there! Check for reservations, as these popular spots can also fill up.
I hope you have a tasty trip!
Elizabeth
