Hi Carla! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. You are only two sleeps away from a day at the Happiest Place on Earth! The magic is almost at your fingertips!
I'm so sorry to hear that you're having difficulty with the
Disneyland Mobile App. Let me break out my magic wand and see if we can't clear some things up for you. The first step when you open the app is to make sure you are logged into your Disneyland account using the same user name and password used to purchase your tickets. If that's all set, navigate to the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner. Give that a click and you should see several boxes, one of which is "Tickets and Passes". In here, you should be able to see any tickets purchased within your account in addition to any tickets you've manually linked. If you aren't seeing anything, click the "+" at the top right-hand corner. If you pull up the email you received when you purchased the tickets, you will see a "Ticket Confirmation Number". You can manually enter that number here and it should link your tickets! If done successfully, you will see the ticket with a barcode underneath. If you are adding in friends who purchased tickets on their own, this is also where you would link their tickets by either scanning their barcode or entering the number yourself. If you are still having difficulty loading your tickets into your account, I would give the friendly Cast Members in
Guest Services a ring before you head to the parks to ensure everything is all set with your account.
When you arrive at the Disneyland Resort and you're ready to head into the park, open the app to "Tickets and Passes" once again. The barcode that appears is what the Cast Member will scan at the gate. You will then receive a physical ticket to be used for the rest of the day if you are Park Hopping or leaving the park and re-entering later that same day.
Hopefully, the app is starting to feel more like a friend than a foe! There are a few features that I just love using when I am making my way through the parks that I'd love to tell you about. Whether I'm on my own or with my family, I almost always use
Mobile Ordering for meals and snacks. You can place your order at most quick-service restaurants right in the app and select a pick-up time that works for your schedule. It's a breeze! To find this feature, when you open the app, click on the "+" located in the center of the bottom navigation bar, select "Order Food", and off you go! If you are considering a table service dining experience, you can check the
Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability for same-day reservations at some coveted restaurants as soon as you scan into the parks. To access this list, click the "+" again on the bottom menu bar and then "Check Dining Availability". Enter your party size, date, and preferred time and you will see if there are any nearby restaurants with openings on the Available Walk-Up List. My fellow panelist
Kamini scored a table at
Oga's Cantina this way!
Carla, I'm sending some pixie dust your way that it's smooth sailing with those tickets when you get to those magical gates! If you have any other questions, come back to see us. We are always here for you at
planDisney!
Keep wishing on those stars,
Tara
